I usually don't.
But every now and then I want it known that I didn't steal anything. I'm trying to be a professional, and I don't want idiots going around saying I stole something when I didn't. Sure, it's really only said at the BOD, and only idiots believe it, but you know, sometimes it's hard to not tell them to go fuck themselves.
The thing I don't get is, would they have preferred that I had the same exact opinions as everyone else? What the hell would be the point of even reading the article then?

Oh I get why you do it, I'm just saying at this point everybody has heard(read) from you that you didn't plagiarize it and the assholes who bring it up, whether they believe it or not, are just bringing it up to rip on you and maybe get a reaction. You're giving them what they want. And if they really do believe you ripped it off you're not going to convince them otherwise. At this point if you want to, just respond with a "fuck you".
And yes, the simple minded idiots would have preferred your opinions to be the same as everybody else's to be honest. Look at the morons who didn't get the Punk/Bryan joke Scott was making, even if he did think it was a bore fest, so what? For the most part though they just take Scott's rating as how good the actual match is like its fact taking out how they felt about the match. This isn't everybody there but I get that feeling from some of them, like they'll watch a RAW or PPV and afterwards read Scott's review to see how they should feel and talk about the matches.
I almost want you to do a social experiment actually, the next compilation DVD you do just take Scott's match ratings and use those for every match. I'll bet good money 1. You won't many "OH MY GOOD! DID YOU EVEN WATCH THAT MATCH", "THOSE RATINGS", etc 2. You'll get a couple though, from the same guys who rip apart your stuff all the time to be pricks. 2b. Those same comments won't be on Scott's review 3. Most people will say the match ratings are good or fair and 4. Nobody will notice. I would say do it but you might get one person figuring out the similiar match ratings, call you on more copying and people will climb on the bandwagon to give you shit. It would be funny though.

I occasionally write for other websites. Well, cracked is always looking for new talent so I started talking to them. They asked for a few ideas, so I threw a few at them. One of the ideas I had was about movie plots that had come true. They said they'd already done it, and gave me the link. I didn't look at it because I dug the idea and wanted to do it for my own website, which I did.
Well, after a while of writing at the BoD, I started doing articles about things other than wrestling. So, I posted my movies that came true article and the morons jumped all over me, saying I ripped off cracked, because apparently I used a lot of the same ones they did. Considering there's only about 5 cases of this happening, it's no shock.
Anyway, I said I didn't do it, and you'd have to be a moron to think I did it. I mean, Scott would post articles & links to cracked weekly. Everyone at the BoD read cracked. So why on Earth would I rip off the idea and then post it on a website that gets 15,000 views a day and expect no one to notice? Besides, the idea isn't even that good. If I were gonna rip off a cracked article, it'd be the one about theories about films that make them better. Great article.
I've written over 300 original articles as well as a book, so all of a sudden I decided to rip them off and post it on one of the most popular wrestling sites in the World? I've still never seen crackeds article.

By the way, I never though you plagiarized the article, I'm not sure if my post insinuated you did. I do think though you made a mistake in not reading the article when it was brought to your attention that it existed. You should have gave it a read to make sure you werent hitting on the same beats and to make sure you could add something new to the subject. But thats just a simple mistake in my opinion and nothing on the level of plagiarizing.
By the way, Rereading that article I gotta say Caliber you've improved a good deal since writing that article.

Yeah, in hindsight I should have, and just not done the article. But I felt that if I looked at it, I might see something that I'd planned to do, and then not do it for fear of being accused of ripping them off. Boy, sure dodged that bullet.
And no sweat Mag. If people believed at first I stole the idea, I don't blame'em. But after the explanation, people should be smart enough to realize.

I can see why people thought the article was copied, but I don't see why anyone cares. None of this crap is done for money. They Cracked guys do it for free. People just wanna find things to be dicks about. Well they can suck mine.

I can see why people thought it too, but if they took a second and used logic they'd see no.
Oh, and the Cracked guys do get paid. $50 an article. However, they REFUSE to post anything that's not a stupid list. If you wanna write for them, it has to be an article.
On my website I recently did an article about comic book films you didn't know were comic book films. That was an idea I originally pitched to them. They dug it. But then they wanted the article to be Top 6 Comic Book Films You Didn't Know Were Comic Book Films Where The Original Source Is Completely Different Than The Film....honest to God, that's what they wanted. I mean, it was hard enough to find comic book films that people weren't aware of, but to find comic book films where the original source was completely different like Men in Black, or Weird Science was impossible, because the material just wasn't there.

So this may come off as gossip or something... but am I the only one that finds Jobber123 among the most obnoxious people on the BoD? He comments on his own comments, calls anyone that doesn't agree with him a troll, and very rarely adds anything of substance to any conversation, and is more interested in talking about the people on the board (I realize the irony in including that in this complaint)... like everyone (rightfully) complains about Dougie, but at least you can ignore him because it is his gimmick... but Jobber is the kind of guy I want to track down and kick the ever loving shit out of... most of the people on there are cool, or at least easily ignored but he certainly has a way of pushing my buttons and pissing me off.

Huh...I never noticed that about Jobber. I always thought he was fine because he dug my work, and wasn't an outright prick.
The guy I have the biggest problem with is Phredric. Hell, you can throw Cultstatus in that mix as well. They're the type of wrestling nerds who have absolutely no talent or wit, and nothing to do in life but be mad at others. They constantly run their fucking mouths, yet they wouldn't dare fucking DREAM of talking like that to anyone in person.
There was one guy, JVC113 or something like that, anyway, during that whole Cracked thing he posted that he tried to find the original person who wrote the article, so he could tattle on me. For some reason that made me so fucking mad, that he was going to be this little, pathetic snitch for absolute no reason other than to be a punk. So, I did about 5 minutes worth of research, and because everyone is so in love with themselves they post their entire life on the internet, I was able to find out where he worked [teacher] and find most of his students facebooks. So, I emailed him directly and told him that if someone really wanted to be a prick, they could probably get him fired, and ruin his reputation as a teacher. However, since I'm a nice guy, I just told him to quit being such a punk, and take down all this information he has out there.
He never responded. But he's never said a single word to me, ill or otherwise, since.

I don't find cultstatus that annoying. Sometimes I find him funny, other times I don't, and I think he likes to be a contrarian at times but I don't find him all that annoying one way or the other, and at least he will talk about the subject and not the people posting... but Jobber dislikes anyone that doesn't agree with him, or kiss his ass and just adds nothing to the discussion which I find very irritating... I guess he is successfully trolling me though if I find myself getting annoyed and continuing to respond to him, so good on him I guess.

Cultstatus can be a douche and I've butted heads with him, but he's also funny at times. I've "liked" a number of his comments.
I just mainly hate guys that try and make boards about them. Or try and get over some stupid gimmick like CAPS LOCK GUY. I would much rather get my real life shit together than be king of the message boards.

The thing with Cult that bothers me, is he says he doesn't like me because "I'm annoying". How the fuck does that work? I've honest to God NEVER said a bad word to someone when it wasn't provoked. It's not my style. I want everyone to get along. If you don't like my work, fine, don't read it. Why run your mouth and be a prick? I hate Kim Kardashian and that entire world. Do you know what I don't do? I don't watch the shows. I don't go to TMZ blogs and talk about how I hate them. Fucking pathetic the people who do that.
I do agree about the gimmick guys who try and get over. If we were 15, I could understand it. But adults? Yikes.

That's how I feel about Jobber. I honestly think being a "big shot" or whatever at BoD is one of the biggest things in his life... I know it sounds like I am just flaming him, but I'm not. I think it is really sad honestly... but at the same time it takes away from the conversation there... he should really find something more important to build his life around.
