1. More wrestlers I want to see - I can watch pretty much any combi nation of Kaz/Daniels/AJ/Joe/Storm/Roode/Bully/Magnus and be happy. WWE? Punk and Bryan is about it.
2. Less wrestlers that make me flip the channel - About the only thing I refuse to watch on the show is EY and ODB. Even Hogan's segments are fine in his current role. Compare this to WWE where you have Big Show and Vicki as major players. Then you have a lot of guys that just don't matter like Tensai.
3. They actually care what fans think. I hate Hardy, but the fans love him and they put the belt on him. They've also pushed pretty much every guy that they have that the smarks got behind. Aries had a longer reign than ANYONE would have thought a year ago. Bully has become a major player. WWE seems actively hostile to their fans at times.
4. Joseph Park - I love this gimmick. It is goofy, but it is FUN. That is missing in wrestling. I look forward to his segments.

This summer Impact was almost appt TV because of 2 things.
1. The BFG series was logical and almost every week there were good matches and it meant something.
2. Live TV means no spoilers and i wanna see what goes on.
Now that its canned again, i can give two shits.

I think TNA better maximizes their talent. Almost everyone on the show seems like they could win, or seems important for a reason.
Gut Check is a concept I can get behind with a little tweaking. I like that the competitors are matched up against name guys, as it's supposed to expose their shortcomings because it gives an idea if they have anything that shows it can be improved on or if they're just not good. I love the York stuff, and would love to see them give guys who have been on the fringes a shot, as some just need that one little boost and might be able to finally find a spot. Plus, it helps we don't have a lame twitter poll judging if they win, and they use actual guys who know the business.
Only two things about TNA are negative right now to me. I like that they want to do a drawn out angle, as schizo booking tends to not draw me in, but they need to learn how to keep them on a slow burner in the background, then ramp up near the finish. Making Aces & 8's the forefront right away then backing off and slowing it down in the middle killed it's momentum.
The other is their erratic booking of the X Division. There were a few weeks that is was a focus, with several guys on Impact every week, now it's maybe one match a week. I dig that division, as it's what drew me to the company in the beginning. Would love to see it given a proper portion, or if Xplosion is ever given more exposure, turn it into an X Division showcase.

I agree, I'm more of a TNA fan than WWE. I make sure to record Impact every week.
They do need to bring back the live shit. This summer, TNA was on fire. Sure, the Aces & Eights thing is a wash, but they were doing so much great stuff since Russo left.
I was always a fan of Abyss [except for when Hogan came in, then I started to tire of his bullshit. But like 2004-2006 Abyss, with James Vandenburg was awesome. Then the first episode I saw with Joe Parks I kept thinking "Who is that? Who is that?...oh SHIT! That's Abyss! How crazy". He's a really talented guy.
The James Storm & Bobby Roode angle was AWESOME for quite a while. I also dug it when AJ was the heel champ with Ric Flair as his manager. That just worked so well.
Sometimes I watch the old TNA stuff from like 2006, and I tell you what I miss, the REAL wrestling fans being in the arena. The ones they have now are so fucking boring and plain. They really need to get the hell out of there.

I agree with Fuj about the BFG series. It made matches that had no backstory matter. That is a big thing that turns me away from shows even when the wrestling is good. People have praised shows like Main Event and Superstars, but nothing matters on those shows so why should I give a crap?
TNA has been in a bit of a rut since BFG because now they don't have something to keep things interesting. Going back to the Top 10 might be a good way to highlight the undercard.
The X-Division has been screwed since Russo was there. IMO wrestling in general makes a commom mistake with midcard titles, they strip the "division" down to the two guys (or girls) feuding for the title. That's not a division, that's a match. Each belt needs a deeper amount of contenders. The X-Division right now is basically RVD and Zima. They bring in new talent around Destination X and it gets good again, but then it's back to 2 guys and a couple jobbers.

I'm watching TNA tonight for the first time in ages, probably since Devon was unmasked, and I'm hoping it will hold my interest. WWE rarely keeps me interested enough to pay attention to it when it's on, so usually it winds up as background noise.

Decent show. Nothing too offensive. But no Joseph Park was a big minus.
Seems like we may have some shenanigans with D-Lo and Brisco.
