Buddy Roberts (1945-2012)

I didn't see a whole lot of Buddy "Jack" Roberts live, but man was he gold against the Von Erichs during that feud in the 80's in World Class. I used to love watching the Legends of World Class on ESPN when I was a kid. More and more of the icons of my childhood keep passing away.

Strangely, the one that I keep thinking will be dead next is still alive, Jake Roberts.

R.I.P. Buddy.

Buddy didn't look long for the world on the WCCW dvd, which is a shame but considering it's been rumored he was the real partier out of the Freebirds, it's not surprising.

I'll say this about the current stars of wrestling. They don't live that wild booze and hard drug lifestyle, so in ten-twenty years, we may not have so many R.I.P moments every year.
