Alright, you're on a desert island, and you can only watch three TV shows for the rest of your life; what are they?
For me, it'd go
Married With Children - I've been watching this show since I was 7. As a teenager I'd record it on VHS, and had around 20 tapes. I still watch it every day when it's on in the morning on TBS. Absolutely fantastic show.
Seinfeld - The smartest show I've ever seen. The comedy is so sharp, and so well done that it blows my mind. I never tire of it.
Friends - I know a lot of people think it's a sissy show, but it's really funny. It's also really sharp, and very creative. Anytime I introduce someone to it, they're always surprised at how good it is.

The first Season of Friends is horrible and I have no use for it when they were trying to do Joey/Rachel, but the middle seasons are great.
Seinfeld - Very rewatchable.
Lost - Since it IS an island.
Batman The Animated Series.

1. Sienfeld Just a brilliant show that never dumbs down for its audience
2. Law And Order Since I haven't seen every one, maybe on a deserted island I'd finally have time to catch them all
3. The Man Show This show is the only thing I've seen where I find Adam Carolla or Jimmy Kimme are l funny. Plus, since i'm alone......

The Simpsons (up until the NY episode) for my comedy fix.
Law & Order - For my drama fix. Plus, there are 20 seasons so it will take me a long time to get through.
Coronation Street - Because Fuck You, that's why.
I can't believe there are still people that haven't seen Friends?

Yeah, choosing Law & Order is pretty smart. Although I prefer SVU.

1. The Wire: Best TV show ever, gets even better rewatching it. Extremely quotable due to the brilliant writing, and you pick up something new every time.
2. Seinfeld: Never stops being funny.
3. I would say maybe breaking bad or sons of anarchy but the shows haven't finsihed and I would never be able to see the end so I dq any ongoing series. So I would have to pick The Larry Sanders, which would narrowly beat curb your enthusiasm and Lost.

I always hear about The Wire, but I started watching the first season and just wasn't digging it. Should I start at season 2?

I've got the entire series of "The Wire" and have yet to open it. Need to get on that.

Holy shit watch it ASAP. It's better than most great movies. Easily the greatest TV show of all time and it is not even close. It's fucking brilliant.
Caliber start with season 1. The show is so fucking good it's hard to believe.

Let's see, the first two are easy: The West Wing and Doctor Who. As for the third...maybe Buffy? Damn, that show was greatly underrated.
In what way would Friends be a "sissy show"? It was a well-constructed relationship comedy with attractive women on it. Are we only able to watch and enjoy blood and guts or comedies about stereotype-enforcing unhappy marriages?
God, some real obnoxious shit comes out of my mouth from time to time. Carry on.

Some guys think it's sissy because of all the relationship aspects of the show, and because they've never really seen it and think they know exactly what it's all about.
