I got the Horsemen DVD and today is my 2nd day in a row watching the documentary part. Man, they were so awesome. It's incredible how great they all were at their parts.
Ric Flair in the mid to late 80's is the greatest promo man alive. He cracks me up EVERY time.
"I got a limo outside that's a mile long! With 25 women in it that are just DYING, just DYING for me to go 'Whooo!'"

Yeah, when I had the WWE premium I always watched the weekly ep of NWA stuff for the Horseman promos.

Somebody posted a "History of the Four Horsemen" on youtube, and the amount of goodness is unreal.
The most underrated part of the group? Ole Anderson on the mic. He was so believable.
"We're the best there is at what we do. And we'll show you just how good we are, right now."
No yelling, no screaming, just calm and to the point.

Ole gets a little old after awhile though. When we were watching the show each week it was like, "Yes, we know, Dusty will be retired by 1989...get back to Flair and Arn."

I love the thing with Precious & Jimmy Garvin. I saw the match, and man, the crowd was MOLTEN. They were gonna riot, it was crazy. Then you have Ronnie show up in drag, f'ning hilarious.
I love the part in the DVD where Paul Roma & the rest of the Horsemen just trash each other.

I love listening to Flair and Arn just totally bash Sid Vicious, too. Roma still thinks he should have been regarded as better than Flair when he was just an egomaniac who had marginal ability and NO mic skills.
I also enjoyed Flair saying that Barry Windham was the only guy who could match him drink for drink and woman for woman. I'm sure their wives loved that remark.

It is funny how many times they tried the gimmick and how many times it failed. The only good incarnations were Flair/Andersons/Tully/Windham

If WCW wasn't so obsessed with the nWo, I think it could have worked with Arn as the manager, Benoit the enforcer, and fleshed out with Malenko & Flair.
Now, they can bash Sid & Luger all to hell, but Mongo?! MONGO gets in the Horsemen and no one has a bad word to say?
