How say you?
I know a lot of peeps are gonna say the Street Fight from 2000, but I'm gonna go with Cena vs Umaga - LMS from I believe 2007. That match was brutal and a fucking blast. My only complaint was they needed an excuse for a loose ring rope, and they went about it in the dumbest way.

The actual Rumble match from 1992 where Flair wins is one of my favorite matches period.

I agree totally that the best overall match on a Royal Rumble show was the 1992 Rumble itself. Flair's performance in that match is one of the greatest things I've ever seen done in a wrestling ring.
As far as non-Rumble Royal Rumble matches, the pickings are slim. I would probably go with the Orient Express-Rockers match from 1991 or the HHH-Cactus Jack streetfight from 2000.

That Orient Express/Rockers match is an underrated classic. It was one of the first matches that made me realize what good workrate was. I didn't care about either team much but was so into it by the end of the match.
On Flair's Rumble you can't discount the INCREDIBLE commentary by Brain and Gorilla with Brain making deals with God to let Flair win and Gorilla just taunting the hell out of him.

Benoit/Angle from 2003 I know it managed to stand up for the rest of the year as MOTY for a lot of people and Benoit even got the elusive "Noble loser" pop that HHH tried to beg fans for at Summerslam this year to no avail... just an awesome match from an awful era.

I'm of course a big fan of the 92 Rumble, such a great, fun match and Heenen shitting himself all match is so funny. I also like the Benoit/Jericho ladder match although the one spot I used to love (Benoit diving out of the ring and getting hit with the chair by Jericho) I can't watch without cringing. Also Cactus/HHH Street Fight was really good and of course Mankind/Rock I Quit was really intense.
A match I like that's not a Rumble match but an offshoot of the Rumble was the main event of Final Four, Austin vs Bret vs Taker vs Vader. That match never gets much love but I think it's a blast.

That Street Fight still bugs me how they had to switch to fake barbed wire for HHH. It is really obvious and distracting.

Ooh, that's why they did that. Are you serious, that's why?
I knew they switched barbwire, and I thought it was because the first one had become undone and was all askew.
Man, what a bitch.

Nope. If you watch, the "wire" looks significantly thicker. The switcheroo is pretty obvious too, I wanna say the barbed wire board goes under the ring and Mick comes out with the new one.

I thought the switcharoo happened when the announce team "hid it" from him.

Yeah, that part can take me out of the match a bit. The ref takes the real barb wire board and puts it under the announcers table, then it's taken back out looking very different, stiffer and almost plastic like. Even though I'm not a big fan of his, I give Orton major props for the bumps he takes in his match with Foley at Backlash.

I still can't believe Trips was such a bitch. You're a fucking pro-wrestler, be a man.
Yeah, Orton's tack bump is probably the sickest one I've ever seen. Even above Mick getting Pedigreed face first into'em.
