It's Always Sunny is pretty good, but I don't know about the funniest. There are some sure fire classics, but there are also some pretty boring ones. One of the top 3 comedies on TV though, no doubt.
Workaholics - season 1 is on netflix, and that season is one of the funniest of any TV show ever. Season 4 is starting in about a month. 2 & 3 are fantastic as well, and something everyone should be watching.
Sons of Anarchy - The first 4 seasons are on netflix, and it's one of those shows where you can watch an entire season in one day without skipping a beat.
New Girl - a show I randomly took a chance on, and was glad I did. It's damn funny, and very original. Much like all shows that actually are funny and made in this day and age, it doesn't have a laugh track. Only crap made by Chuck Lorre has a laugh track, so we know to laugh when the white nerd talks like a gangster.
Law & Order: SVU - A lot of shows, dramas especially, can't survive when there's major character changes. However, SVU has only gotten better. It's a great show, and one of my all time favorite dramas.
True Blood - season 3 of TB Is my all time favorite season of any drama ever. Absolute masterpiece. Great show. Plus, there's naked Anna Paquin, and man oh man, that's a bit of alright.

Workaholics is great and is a definate challenger to Sunny as far as comedy.
I need to watch Sons, heard good things.
Big Bang Theory - I was hesitant on this as Chuck Lorre also does 2.5 Men which is the biggest pile of crap on TV, but it pretty fun. They do their homework on geek culture and use past plots and character traits to set up jokes.

Big Bang Theory is great but I feel like it has jumped the shark... it has far to much relationship stuff now and not enough funny geek stuff.
I don't watch a whole lot of television. Big Bang Theory, The Office, Chopped, Real Time With Bill Maher, 2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother etc... but I couldn't really care less about most of these and didn't start watching them (or even have cable) until the wife moved in... I mostly just watch SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT and documentaries on my own.

Chopped is great and I agree somewhat on BBT. Kinda unrealistic that all the guys except Raj would have girlfriends, and Amy is the only one that would be the type of girl any of them would realistically get.

Agreed... but even if I can let it go that they can all score out of their league chicks... every episode doesn't have to center around it. They've kind of become a soap opera with jokes more than a comedy.

Agreed. I liked episodes like the Time Machine where the guys would get obsessed with some geek thing that would dominate the episode.
