We do this on another forum I'm a apart of and it goes over pretty well. As you see a new movie that came out in 2013 you rank it on your list. As the year goes on you or course add to it in a new reply. You can also talk about the movie if you want.
Gangster Squad *NEW* John Dies at the End *NEW* Texas Chainsaw 3D *NEW*
GANGSTER SQUAD is a good time. It’s a hodgepodge of every gangster movie ever made (mostly THE UNTOUCHABLES), but the actors all have a lot of fun with it. It’s interesting that Penn is in it because there’s not a whiff of prestige to this thing. It’s as much of a meat-and-potatoes crowd-pleaser action movie as THE EXPENDABLES. This is much closer to DICK TRACY than L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.
John Dies is a funny, quirky horror movie in the same vein as the Evil Dead movies. It's got some good, creative stuff in it but I don't see myself going back to see it.
TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D? Not so great. I liked that it sets itself up as a direct sequel to the original, complete with a “Previously on TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE” montage, but then it mucks that up by going back to the original house just hours after the first movie ended and there are like six relatives there that weren’t even in that movie. And then it jumps ahead 20 years, except it’s 2012 somehow.

Interesting. I'd do it.
Doubt I'll be seeing any of the above. Emma Stone is the only thing I'd be interested in Gangster Squad (HORRIBLE title BTW).

Emma Stone has a great face, but that's about it.
I want to see Gangster Squad, because I love mob movies. Soon as a nice cam comes out, I'm gonna grab it.
I'm of course looking forward to Texas Chainsaw 3D, because I've always dug the series. But from what I've heard, they sort of fuck the story by making all the characters extremely unlikeable, and turning Leatherface into a sympathetic character. No. Leave that to Jason. Leatherface has always been the scariest of the scary, don't give him any sort of angle, dammit.
Yeah, good idea for a thread, I'll definitely participate.

I read the spoilers for Chainsaw and I basically guessed the whole plot from the preview.
Best review I read had the quote "Summer School has a better understanding of TCM then TCM3D"
And Cal, I know you love the boobs and butts, but it isn't like Emma Gwen Stefani in the body department.

Yeah Caliber, TCM3D just didn't understand the Leatherface character and his sorta face turn at the end was just stupid. I also wasn't rooting for any of the characters at all. It's funny, I'm a fan of all types of horror movies, even bad/cheesy ones but this just sucked too much. By the way, you're a fellow torrent-teer, good to know. I'll give you a heads up about good movie torrents coming out. Here's a decent cam version of TCM3D if you're interested: kat.ph/texas-chainsaw-2013-cam-xvid-1mperium-t6974451.html By the way, have you been seeing all the really great quality screeners coming out lately? One of the reasons I love awards season, earlier today I had Django Unchained on in the background while I was doing some work. And yeah if you're a fan of mob movies you'll love Gangster Squad.

That's why all the screeners were showing up, I was wondering about that. Yeah, I use extratorrent as my main release website, because they show all the new shit that comes out. I use piratebay for when I need more seeders. KAT is great too.
And Scotty, yeah, Emma Stone is exactly like Gwen. Although Gwen has a bit of an ass, but not much. Those super thin girls *shudders* can't do nothing for me. Although Gwen does have one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen.

I use KAT since demonoid died. They seem to have as much stuff as PirateBay and sometimes more.
What do you guys use for IP block? Peerblock?

I know that Taken 2 came out in 2012, but the DVD came out in 2013. So, I'm calling it here...
Pretty decent. I'm in love with the first one and believe it to be one of the greatest action films ever. Luc Besson is an action God. He wrote 5th Element, the Transporter series, Kiss of the Dragon, Taken 1 & 2, it's unreal the amount of shit this guy does.
With Taken 2, they tried to do things differently, which I appreciate. But honestly, I just wanted more of the same from the first because I loved it so much. Still a great film that peeps need to see.
I'm so bummed that Last Stand bombed so badly. I can't believe it, honestly. I mean, it looked so awesome, so simple, such a popcorn movie with Arnold's big return. What the hell? Are people this stupid they can't appreciate it? I mean, that Wayan's spoof, number 1 billion in a row rated higher. I haven't felt this bummed since Meet The Spartans was number one, and Rambo 4 was number 2. Break my fucking heart.

I saw Last Stand.
Of course, it's awesome. Arnold hasn't lost a step, and is just as charismatic and bad-ass as always. It's littered with one-liners, great shoot-outs, car-chases, and fights. I mean, how can you dislike a movie that has Arnold spearing a guy off a roof and shooting him in the head mid-flight? It doesn't get any cooler than that. Definitely a film I can see myself liking more and more each time I see it.

Bullet To The Head - pretty decent. Stallone was awesome as always, but I just didn't dig the cop he was paired with.
A Good Day To Die Hard - it has it's flaws, but it's still fucking awesome. Hell, a lot of the bad reviews I read had people saying that one of their biggest complaints was the fact John McClane never said "yippie ki-yay, motherfucker", when he said it clear as day near the end.

I saw Oz the Great and Powerful. It was ok. Franco is totally wrong for the part, but the story is decent.

Saw Django Unchained. It's a pretty cool movie, although there were a few scenes that were unnecessarily brutal, with absolutely no pay-off to them. I could have honestly watched the Dr and Django go around the states and bounty hunt as a series, they were really entertaining.

Great movie and the first time I've ever liked Dicaprio in anything. Sam Jackson is incredible.

Jackson really was, he was such a fucking heel.
Really? You didn't dig Leo in Catch Me If You Can, or The Departed?
