I never wanted to be one of those stereotypical Cena Haters, but I can't take it anymore.
At this point I wonder if there isn't some hate from the other wrestlers. I know that despite all of Hogan's BS, the boys supported him. The big difference was that Hogan was bringing in money for everyone. Under Cena the business is down.

I can't imagine there is. I mean, he's not politicking to be where he is. The reason he won the Rumble is because he's that popular, and no one is gonna draw better against The Rock.
From what I heard, he wants to be heel, but the brass won't let him because he brings in way too much money as a face.
This question was posed over at the BOD, and it's a good one;
When does the Cena era end? He's 36, or gonna turn 36, one of the two. He's damn young, in amazing shape, and not injury proned. I mean, are we gonna see him on top for another 15 years?
God, I can't wait until he goes heel. The Thugonomics Cena is so much better.

I find it hard to believe that there is no politicking by Cena. You don't get that spot by being nice and agreeable.
And the merchandise thing is crap. They've had Punk do everything short of eat a baby to be a heel and his stuff is still selling like hot cakes.

I agree with you, but we've never heard any stories about it. Seriously, other than what The Rock has said about him, which I'm sure was kayfabe, I've never once heard a bad word said about the guy.
I wonder, is there a chance that Rock beats him a second time? Obviously the three mains, Rock/Cena, HHH/Lesnar, and Punk/Taker all have obvious winners, but is there a chance they go a different way on just one of them?

I honestly don't think there is any politicking going on with Cena. We've heard nothing about him ever doing that and I can't recall a time he didn't job where it felt like he played a power card. I think the WWE just know he is their cash cow and are going to keep him winning, looking strong so they can milk him dry. I just got a bad image in my head involving Cena and Vince...ewww..moving on.
I personally don't mind Rock vs Cena 2, it makes sense and while there are others I would rather see Rock wrestle I understand the reason for the match, it'll bring in the money. Maybe if they make enough money to cover some hits, they may take a chance on a new main event/wrestlers in the future. Also let's not act like Rock vs Cena 1 was a horrendous, crap match. It was pretty good, not great but still solid. And I'm sure they can pull off something good this year too.
As for when Cena will quit, I don't think it's happening for a while. I think he'll keep going as long as he's healthy and isn't going to kill his body. But I do see him "retiring" at an earlier age than most, maybe 43 to 45 and coming back for the occasional big match.

Yeah, I have no real problem with Cena v Rock. Simply because I can't WAIT to see The Rock fucking lose. And not just lose, but lose the belt, too. It's also awesome because those people who love The Rock hate Cena, and there isn't anyone else they want The Rock to lose to less.

I think my main thing is that it just makes everything so POINTLESS. We knew a year ago this was gonna be the main event, and we knew it would be for the title as soon as Rock said he wanted it. And we've known he'd win it at the Rumble for months. So why should I have cared about Punk's reign? And Ziggler's briefcase? That basically guaranteed he'd be nothing more than a transitional champ if he cashed in before Mania.

Caliber, why The Rock hate? I like the Rock but I don't hate Cena (esspecially the way others do), I just think Cenas character has been stale which sucks because I really do think Cena is actually capable of so much more. Although, like you, it'll be fun to see the blog EXPLODE with rage the night of WrestleMania.
Scotty, I don't think it made Punks title reign pointless at all, he had some great matches and fueds while champ and it was a really long reign cementing him as a legit main eventer. It took a big name in The Rock coming back to finally beat Punk and for Punk to get his comeuppance. You take the who Cena vs Rock predictability out of the equation and it makes for a damn fine story. Yeah everything involving Rock and Cena has been predictable but it's honestly not the worst thing in the world. Like I said, maybe if we put up with this and Vince gets his huge payday for the year it'll mean more experimenting after Mania. And isn't Zigglers briefcase only for the World Title and has nothing to do with the WWE Title and Rock/Cena?
