I watched it quite a while ago, but only saw it from season 3 onward. So, lately I've started watching it again and started it from the get-go.
Does anyone else feel that Tony is one of the most unlikeable main characters of all time? He's such an idiotic, racist, alpha male, hypocritical, cheating piece of shit.
I dig a lot of the other characters, and it's a damn fine show. But man, so many times I wish The Punisher would just walk on screen and beat down Tony.
I also find that there's now way I could be in the mob, simply because of their bullshit rules. I mean, a guy beats an innocent girl to death, and nothing happens to him because he's a made guy, and she's just "a whore". There's no fucking way I could turn a blind eye to that. Fucking animals.

Oh yeah, Tony was a piece of shit but it was interesting to see him wrestle with that fact throughout the show and at times try to do the right thing or feel guilt over the bad things he's done (like killing Big Pussy). Then in the last season you see him go deeper and deeper with less guilt until finally he succumbs to it all and realizes he's a monster and stops feeling guilty over it. It really is a fascinating show, some really great story arcs and episodes. One of my favorites is when Chris and Paulie were trying to track down the Russian in the woods.
Yeah I couldn't do the whole mob thing, like you I couldn't turn a blind eye to it and I just find it so cruel. I can understand (not that it's ok but I can understand it) them having to kill somebody because of business or because they were a rat. But to just kill a women and sweep it under the rug was fucked up, there was no need for it.

Vic Mackey on The Sheild was pretty despicable, but I didn't really hate him until the last season.
