Since I live in LA, it is extremely close for me to go to Summerslam every year. I haven't gone to a wrestling event since the invasion angle. I remember it was a Raw where Kane/UT won the tag titles (WCW I think). I haven't been to a PPV since KOTR 99 (where billy gunn won the KOTR and the whole who raised the briefcase angle).
The pre-sale starts on Monday. Got some questions: 1) where is the worst place to sit? It is at the Staples Center. I'm guessing floor near stage because you cant see anything. What about the risers or just above the floor? 2) What is usually the best money for the value (excluding sitting at home)?

I have no idea as to the answers to your questions, just wanted to chime in on the live experience. Although, I always found the best seats to be right when the floor stops, and the seats start going up at an angle. I always loved those.
Last show I went to was Elimination Chamber 2009, which was great. I do remember there was this family in front of me, and the mom kept letting her 7 year old son hold up her sign that said "Batista Bomb Me!". I guess she didn't want to let her kid know she was asking Dave to fuck her.
Great show though, I dug the hell out of it.
First live show I ever went to was a Raw here in Seattle in...shit, it was either late 95 or early 96. I had no idea that they recorded so much. It just kept going, and going. I do remember Farrooq showing up though, that was his debut. I was then also VERY pissed at how for the next 4 weeks I already knew what was going down. For someone who absolutely lived for it, that sucked major ass.
I was at the show where Buff took on Booker T. I couldn't believe I got to see Buff live, so that was a high point. Plus the two guys in front of us were awesome, which can help make the experience so much fucking better.

Don't do floor seats unless you can get in the first 3 rows unless you are tall. Some people like next to the aisle so you have the chance of interacting with a wrestler. The best value to me is looking at the seating chart and see if the have some seats x'd out for the stationary camera and get the ones closest to those. You'll have the same view as TV.

Because tickets went on sale at 10am and I had to work, I got the tickets now. I got 3rd level center area 3rd row. I could have gotten floor or first risers but it would have been too expensive or very hard to see.
