This was a novel based off the comics that came out awhile back. It is a pretty good read if you throw out any knowledge of the show. This is not the well rounded character of the show, it is the psycho of the books.
But then there is the ending. The book blows it by trying to have a clever twist ending instead of just building on the solid foundation they had. It also ends way too early. We don't see him become the Governor, the book ends shortly after he gets to Woodbury.
3/5 stars...woulda been 4 without the twist.
