What do you guys think is the best PPV, on paper? Like, you see the line-up and you can't believe how great it's gonna be.
For me, it's Wrestlemania 26. I couldn't believe the line-up. I thought, if they don't smash all records with this, they'll never do it.
Edge vs Jericho - decent enough story line, and you just know they're gonna have a great match
Batista vs Cena - Batista as a heel is fucking awesome. Plus, he did that old school 80's TV show thing where the good guy has an evil twin, and to show they're evil they have a goatee or beard. So, he grew a heel beard. Awesome. Their Summerslam match was awesome, so this had to be.
Shawn vs Taker - The rematch to what a lot of people thought was the best WM match ever. They didn't just rest on that either, the story was awesome. With Shawn going into the Rumble with intent to win, then freaking out when he loses. Causing him to lose the Chamber, so he basically has to force Taker to fight him. Awesome stuff.
Bret vs Vince - I mean, wow. I couldn't believe this was actually going to happen.
Then you also had MiTB, CM Punk vs Mysterio, and Triple H vs Sheamus.
An unbeliveably loaded card. I thought it'd trump my favorite WM, which is 24, but alas it couldn't. And good God was Bret vs Vince TERRIBLE.

On paper, this last year's Wrestlemania could have been incredible. Instead it was 8-seconds, and Cena/Rock sleep-walking through a match. If it weren't for 'Taker/Triple H bringing the drama and Punk/Jericho working a solid match, it would have been one of the worst Mania's ever.

For me, it's In Your House: Canadian Stampede. Looking at it, it's got some of everything, but no filler because it was only a two-hour show, but Jesus Christ does it look good. And it didn't disappoint:
HHH-Mankind went to a DCOR, but they continued to brawl for a long time following the match. I loved Mankind before he turned into a necktie wearing goof. *** 1/2
Taka-Sasuke was a spotfest, but it was an ENTERTAINING spotfest. ****
Vader-Undertaker was as good of a match as Vader had his entire time in the WWF (Maybe the one against HBK at "It's Time" was close, but Shawn being a dick kind of ruined that one for me.) *** 1/4
The main event may have been one of the best ten-man tags that I've ever seen. Austin-Goldust-Shamrock-Road Warriors Vs Hart-Hart-Neidhart-Bulldog-Pillman was such a hot match, the crowd heat was off the charts, and it went 40:00+ with entrances and post-match shenanigans. ***** easy.

On paper Heroes of Wrestling looked pretty special but it turned out awful until Jake saved the day.
I always thought WM 8 looked great on paper and it turned out pretty well.
