Hi there! Since we're talking other sports I figured I'd share a clip of my national game, Aussie Rules Footy. Here in Aus we get a couple of NFL games a week at like 6am because of the time zones, but there is no real following, same goes for Baseball (which is a bit on the rise). Aussie Rules comes in first with Rugby, Soccer, and Cricket all on a second tier together with Tennis and Basketball after that. What I was wondering was how much exposure does AFL (Australian Football League) have in the US? I doubt games get shown on TV, but has the average American even heard of it, what is the popular perception of Australian sports? This is the first clip on YouTube for searching 'AFL' so I hope you enjoy, and carn the Bombers =D www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIReSJhQor0

I've heard of it in passing on other sports sites, but I'm not familiar with it. It's hard to get the US sports fans to embrace a new sport, as soccer is still a fringe sport in some areas, despite having a league and most American children play it.

It was all over ESPN and various regional sports networks when I was a kid, and I tried to watch it, but the rules confused me a bit. It's never on now, but I would watch it if it was. It looks like a bizarre conglomeration of rugby, American Football, Soccer, and a street fight.
