Just curious as what was your favorite and least favorite eras as a fan.
For me, my favorite time was from Wrestlemania 5 until wrestlemania 8. A lot of the guys that still get play on my personal collection or bored youtube searches debuted or came into the mainstream during this period. Rude, Perfect, Shawn and the Rockers, Demolition, Four Horseman, R &R vs MX, etc.
Least favorite was 2002-2005, as other than some of the SmackDown guys, there wasn't much to keep me interested. Raw was hard to watch, as no matter who I cheered, they lost to HHH in the end. Goldberg sucked, Stiener was joke, and Evolution started good, but wasn't the Horseman-esque group they wanted to come off as.

Nostalgia wise, it's the Attitude Era. I started watching in 1995, so I got to see it from the get go. It was so exciting, and I was such a huge fan of Stone Cold. I loved it. Then The Rock came along, and what 15 year old didn't think he was the coolest? There's still some great PPV matches from there, but I don't much care about the Raws.
I love 1996/1997 WCW. I love watching those Nitros & PPVs. It's absolutely perfect programming.
My least favorite is WWE from 2003-2005. It was all just so, so bad. I mean, JBL has one of the longest running champions of all time? What's that tell you. Kurt Angle and animal sex? Booker T as a voodoo priest?
Obviously everyone would say WCW 2000, but let's be fair, no one watched that when it happened.

*raises hand sheepishly*
I did. Not out of love, but at the time I was the only person on a site I frequented at the time who was willing to watch it and do short recaps. Not much fun, but it's why I always talk up the improving product when WCW shut down, because I watched it.

Most loved: wrestlemania 4-8 because that was what I grew up with and wore the t-shirts. I also remember it fondly because I used to go to wrestling events with my dad 2-3x a year to the la sports arena.
Most hated: I stopped watching in the fall of 2002 for several years. I would still follow it online. I watched all the PPVs at a local sports bar but after summerslam 2002, I realized that it became too much of the HHH and Brock show. I couldn't stand either one of them so I stopped watching PPVs. Once HHH gave himself the world title, I stopped watching completely.

The worst for me would be 93-94. WCW was trying to be like WWF by trotting out gimmicks like Big Josh and PN News while the WWF was pushing Mabel, Nash, and Sid.

I'm going to sound like an old fart, but my favorite era was 1985-86-87 era Jim Crockett Promotions with The Horsemen Vs Dusty-Nikita-Road Warriors-Garvins et al.
There was an angle development every single week, and you got to see awesome eight and ten-man tags all the time. Plus, Rock N Rolls Vs Midnights, Magnum TA before he got hurt.
Least Favorite: ECW at the end of it's original run. It was sad to see a promotion that had been soooo cutting edge and sooo fun come down to Justin Credible and his platoon of goofs and rejects. It was never the same after Raven and The Sandman left for WCW and RVD broke his ankle.

Favorite was 1990-1994...
1997-2001 is a close second
Least favorite was probably 2005-2007
Today, I am more apathetic I guess...I still watch and enjoy stuff so I don't hate it or anything, but I definitely don't have that level of interest I once had.

2001 - 2006 was probably the worst for me. I fortunatley stopped watching in the early 90's and missed most of that garbage. But from Wrestlemania 17 until sometime in 2005/2006 there were very few bright spots... maybe the 4 months Benoit was champion but that was dominated by Eugene so even that I had issues with. It picked up for a few years when Edge started main eventing but of course has gone back downhill for the last 2 years or so.
Favorite era could be a lot of things... probably Hulkamania era (84-89) which also happened to be the best era for Crockett NWA... 97-00 was good also but that is probably nostalgia as much as it actually have been good.

2002-2009 is mostly horrible. The last three years they've done a good job of at least making HALF the year good. January kicks off the Road to Wrestlemania with the Rumble which is actually a LOT more interesting because of the Brand Extension. Since the winner can challenge for either belt, it makes it more than a foregone conclusion like it used to be.
Then you have the Elimination Chamber that gives you two good matches and again helps the Rumble because you can easily switch things up with so many contenders.
Then Mania, then you usually have a post Mania Raw that shakes up something and that lasts till Summerslam. But man, Summerslam through New Year's has sucked for a long time.
